Despite the fire damage to the Hall in 1955, many of the building's original features remained intact and have been salvaged and tastefully restored to form an integral part of the new apartments.

The Estate's rich and colourful past is reflected in the touch's of historic splendour that appear throughout the building - imparting tales of splendid decadance, historic battles, royal visits and family feuds.

Caldecote Hall is now a private residence.

 

The original clock in the tower at the entrance of the stables still features the original mechanism.

The clock is wound first thing every Monday morning - failing which it stops at 4pm - as regular as clockwork!

The gallery now - damaged by the fire in 1955, but soon to be restored to its former glory.
 

The newly restored gallery will feature a magnificent domed glass ceiling filling the hall with light to stunning effect.

Much of the original panel work will also be restored and the Hall still retains many of the original stained glass windows.

One of the most magnificent features of this opulent Victorian mansion house will be restored in all its glory; the minstrels gallery that formed the centrepiece of the main hall.
