Ansley Hall dated back to 1720-1730, with Ansley Park being enclosed by John Ludford in the 1750s.

In the nineteenth century the house was taken over by the Phillips family who were directors of Ansley Hall Coal & Iron Co. Ltd whose colliery and brickworks were close by. The Ansley Hall Coal & Iron Co. Ltd was founded by William Garside Phillips (great grandfather of Captain Mark Phillips, first husband of Princess Anne).

However, by the 1970s it had fallen into disrepair and had to be demolished.
